Marble is associated with luxury, marble interior decorations are signs of wealth. But what happens to a luxury product that finds itself in a trash container? Does it lose its luxury?

'Marbleous' mirror collection demonstrates that luxury materials, with the help of reuse, can remain as luxurious as they were before. By upcycling marble scraps, new mirrors were created. The object becomes even more luxurious as it carries its history.

These marble objects are made from an old marble flooring of a renovated bank building in Kaunas, Lithuania. Marble is a rather fragile stone, so the slabs were broken when dismantling the floor. The fracture line itself is the most expressive part of this collection and is highlighted by a contrasting mirror.
