Tree Ornament - After Matisse 1
This curious organic shape was recognizably inspired by the famous cutouts by French painter Henri Matisse. The painter spent a phase of his life in ill health and, unable to continue painting, began to cut his artistic concepts out of paper.
This little sculptural piece hangs from a metal hanging ring that has a black and rusty patina. The ornament is solid cast and quite heavy.
Purchase includes the large black ornament only. The 4 cm white sphere ornament can be purchased separately.
Each piece is made by Laurie Poast in Norway.
